Health Advisory Update
As of 23 June 2022, face masks are no longer mandatory on board Airlink domestic flights and within domestic airports, however, Airlink passengers and employees are welcome to wear a face mask if they so choose.
For international travel, some destinations still require you to wear a face mask during the flight or at the airports. Ensure to check the latest government requirements of the countries you are travelling to including the applicable transiting countries and the local rules of the airports prior to departure. Airlink Cargo, a Division of Airlink (Pty) Ltd, a privately owned regional airline, provides air freight transport directly to more than 40 destinations across Southern Africa. Airlink Cargo’s Journey
1992Airlink Cargo International was established as a cargo ground handler for Airlink, and other international carriers.
2011Airlink Cargo International (Pty) Ltd became a Division of SA Airlink (Pty) Ltd.
Airlink has a fleet of more than 50 modern commercial jetliners on the widest network of more than 55 routes to 40 destinations in 10 African countries and St Helena Island.
2012Airlink and WFS entered into a joint venture agreement and AFS was established – AFS conducts cargo handling for Airlink Cargo in JNB and CPT. In 2019 AFS changed their name to WFS to align themselves with their Worldwide International standards.
The advantage of using an air transport service with a distribution network such as Airlink Cargo is that it provides different options to either send cargo point-to-point direct from one airport to another, or to utilize connections through other airports.
